Employment Services
Ashcroft Employment Services are at the WHY the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month from 10:15 am to 3:00 p.m. They provide assistance with resumes and cover letters, access to computers for internet job search, job board for local vacancies, and preparation for interviews. Appointments can be booked through them by calling 1.866.453.9421.
New Residents – Welcome to Logan Lake Volunteer Committee
Our volunteer committee wants to formally welcome new residents to Logan Lake. If you wish to make use of this service, please call the WHY at 250.523.6229 to arrange a home visit. A volunteer will bring a packet containing loads of information about our community.
Office Services
A nominal fee is charged for office services. Services currently available are: faxing, photocopying, computer use and printing.

FITNESS AT THE WHY

FITNESS CLASSES
Bike and Core
The first 20 minutes of class will be on a bike focusing on lower body. The remainder of class focuses on core strength training of upper body using balls and free weights, followed by a short cool down. Space is limited, so please register early.
Body Fit
This hard-core workout program is designed for each individual, their problem areas, and goals. Fitness assessment and optional but lets you know where you are, the progress you make, and when you have achieved your goal. Participants must commit to the full session.
Cardio Core Intervals (CCI)
This interval-style class combines cardio, core, strength and agility for a full body workout.
The class incorporates the use of balls, bosu, weights, and more. You will get your heart pumping and your muscles burning!
Osteo Workout
This is an exercise and education program designed specifically for men and women with osteoporosis who are at risk for fractures. Certified instructors will assist in increasing your fitness levels safely and effectively by improving posture and balance, building stronger muscles and bones, and decreasing the risk of falls or fractures.
Yoga
Learn a complete range of basic moves including standing, seated, lying and relaxation poses. Learn to focus your mind on your body and breath. Improve your stamina, strength, balance and flexibility while enjoying yourself. See general health and fitness level improvement.

Personal Fitness Programs
Book an appointment with a fitness instructor who will set up a program to fit your personal needs and adjust it as necessary. For non-members a $25 fee applies.
Fitness Assessments
Body composition, cardio, strength, flexibility and endurance are assessed. Free to members; $25 for non-members.
Body Composition
Find your BMI, waist girth and body fat percentage. Free to WHY members, $10.00 for non-members.

WHY Bingo (licence #45367)
Bingo is held every second Monday at the Logan Lake Senior Centre from September to June. The doors open at 6:00 pm; games start at 6:30 pm.

KarreeOver Bingo
There is currently a KarreeOver Bingo in play. After this KarreeOver Bingo has been won 40 numbers will be drawn at the next Monday night bingo. Three new numbers are drawn on Wednesdays until the game is won. Winners have until noon on Friday to claim their bingo. Bingo cards are available at the WHY office; $1.00 per card.
