For the “Love” of Photography Thursday, June 14 – 7:00 pm
Cost is $20 Register at the WHY
This photographer course is great for beginners and experienced alike. Participants will learn the art of posing, and how to get the best use out of their camera. Bring your camera and a notebook, and spend an evening of fun with professional photographer John Woods.
Volunteer Training – for Hospice/Outreach Programs Thursday, June 21
Session choices: 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm OR 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
**Note: only 1 training session will be held. The class with the most participants signed up will go ahead, so please sign up for your preferred time.** The session is free and available to past, present, and future volunteers. We are always looking for new volunteers, so come see if volunteering for Hospice and/or Outreach is the right fit for you!

PROGRAMS AT THE WHY
FITNESS CLASSES
Body Fit – You must be committed to register in this hard core workout program designed especially for the individual, their problem areas and goals. Fitness assessment and food tracking optional, but this lets you know where you are, how much progress you have made, and when you have achieved your goal. You must commit to the full session and you are accountable for your progress.
Cardio Core Intervals – This interval style class combines cardio, core, strength and agility for a full body workout. The class will incorporate the use of balls, bosu, weights and much more. You will get your heart pumping and muscles burning.
Osteo Workout – This is an exercise and education program designed specifically for men and women with osteoporosis who are at risk for fractures. Certified instructors will assist you in increasing your fitness levels safely and effectively by improving posture and balance, building stronger muscles and bones and decreasing the risk of falls or fractures.
Bike & Core – First 20 minutes of class will be on the bike focusing on the lower body. Second half of class will be focusing on upper body using ball and free weights followed by a short cool down.
Yoga – Learn a complete range of basic moves including standing, seated, lying and relaxation poses. Learn to focus your mind on your body and breath. Improve your stamina, strength, balance and flexibility while enjoying yourself. See general health and fitness level improvement.
Breath & Wellness – This class is designed to help you explore yourself through relaxation and self-meditation, developing breathing techniques, positive thinking and relaxation poses.
Kettle Bell Class – Kettle bells are the all-in-one tools for burning calories and building muscle tone. This program provides complete physical fitness through three dimensional, whole body movement. You will sculpt every muscle while you enjoy the challenging free-flowing movements using this unique tool.
Gym Drop-in - You may use the gym for drop-in any time there is not a fitness class in session. You must be a member to be able to use the gym facility for fitness or personal programs. A drop-in fee applies. Punch cards are available.
Personal Fitness Programs – Book an appointment with a fitness instructor who will set up a program to fit your personal needs and adjust it as necessary. For non-members a $25 fee applies.
Fitness Assessments - Body composition, cardio, strength, flexibility and endurance are assessed. Free to members; $25 fee for non-members.
Body Composition - Find your BMI, waist girth and body fat percentage. Members free; non-members $10 fee.

WHY Bingo
Bingo is held every second Monday at the Logan Lake Senior Centre from September to June. The doors open at 6:00 pm; games start at 6:30 pm.

KarreeOver Bingo
There is currently a KarreeOver Bingo in play. After this KarreeOver Bingo has been won 40 numbers will be drawn at the next Monday night bingo. Three new numbers are drawn on Wednesdays until the game is won. Winners have until noon on Friday to claim their bingo. Bingo cards are available at the WHY office; $1.00 per card.
